Chapter Eighteen
The Committee:
Real Trades, Real-Time, No Gurus Allowed
The following interview is a composite of traders outside the Chicago area who trade the Chicago markets.
One of the members of the committee reminded me that his grandfather started as a runner at the Board of Trade in the 1920s and retired as senior vice-president of a major brokerage house.
Since it is clear that systems and the computer will dominate Chicago-style trading in the years ahead, how these people view that and other developments in the Chicago markets should prove both informative and interesting. The members of the committee asked not to be identified for twelve months following the publication of this book.
Neal: Let's start with the youngest member of the committee. You have spent much time and effort meeting and teaching traders. You must have a unique perspective on traders?
Committee: Two years ago, I toured the country leading seminars on how to use TradeStation by Omega Research. During that time, I met approximately 600 investors.
